It's Just a Phase
I really liked reading these samples. My favorite is "Hooked" due to the positive and story like tone. The writer tells the story with a adventuristic tone that made me want to know how everything worked out later for him. I like the lists of fish and locations he fished and the years of collecting equipment. The way he tells his story make him sound interesting as a person. In the sample "Innocence is Bliss" I feel like I know this Colin kid. The girl describe's things that I feel like I was there when it happened. I think my brother played on this baseball team and was friends with everyone she describes. I liked this also because it really hit home and if it really is about the person I know then everything she describes I know is true because I was there. "Once More to The Lake" is good but to me I liked the student samples better. It is written very well and very descripted but I feel like it's written to old for my age to find similarity's with it. I like how the tone of the story is exciting and then creepy in a good way. I think that it's alomost like a flashback due to the man thinking about his dad's gestures and how he prolly thought when he was the one doing things as the kid.
